| Rebirthing is a therapeutic breathing technique, it is also
sometimes referred to as Circular breathing and Conscious connected breathing.
Rebirthing works by relaxing and releasing the breath, tension is dissolved, blocks or old emotional wounds are cleared and deep patterns (including birth experiences) are accessed and healed.
When we face an emotional trauma, our physical reflex action is to become tense and we then automatically constrict our breathing. Somehow, this reduces the pain and protects us from further hurt.

The sad truth is, we are not actually getting rid of the pain, we are merely suppressing it. The tension becomes a permanent emotional block or wound which if not released will continue to affect us by triggering negative behaviour patterns, physical problems or anxiety attacks, never allowing us to experience our full potential.
When yet another emotionally painful event occurs which subconsciously reminds us of a previous occasion, we repeat the same pattern again, this time restricting our breath even more. All the unresolved patterns of our past manifest in the present either in our behaviour or in our health.
All of these may be transformed or cleared with the simple breathing technique of Rebirthing, enabling us to experience feeling really alive in the fullest and most blissful sense. Rebirthing embraces a body/mind approach and includes working with music and Reiki.

A Rebirthing treatment session lasts for approximately one and a half hours and takes takes place with the client lying fully clothed in a comfortable position having already been taught the simple technique of circular breathing.
To resolve and heal the tensions, the client maintains the breathing pattern whilst being completely aware of his/her feelings in the present moment. |
