I am a Usui Reiki Ryoho teacher having been practising Reiki since 1992. I completed my training in California with my Reiki Master, Bob Wachsberger. I have been teaching extensively in this country and abroad since January 1994. My training has included Alliance Reiki, Tera-Mai Reiki, Seichem and Usui Reiki Ryoho. Prior to Reiki I had my own video production company for seven years, recording, producing and editing a wide variety of subjects. Before that, I spent one year in the private health sector following fourteen years in the National Health service both in nursing and administration. Before, I entered the Health service I was a professional photographer. Being a Libran I have (unintentially) divided my career almost equally between health care and photography. My interests range from the creative to the esoteric. I love travel, challenges, eccentric people, white water rafting, singing bowls, drumming, all things Native American and Aboriginal, India, the Far East and surfing the net. I love children, trees and sunsets. I laugh at wacky humour and I cry when I see beautiful things - (a Pisces ascendant!) My ambition is to live in a world without violence. In September 1999 I attended the Traditional Japanese Reiki Techniques workshop in Michigan with Frank Arjava Petter and his Japanese wife Chetna who were instrumental in translating Doctor Usui's teaching manuals. The workshop was unforgettable, as were the people who met there . A gathering of 120 Reiki Masters from all over - with one intent- to learn more about Doctor Usui's own teachings. The energy was intoxicating, when we weren't learning we were laughing - some of us even experienced levitation during the breaks (the seated on a chair variety) although I hasten to add, this was not on the agenda! It was very sad saying goodbye, but great meeting up again on the Internet. Usui Reiki Ryoho is still taught in its original form by the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai, the Society in Japan founded by Doctor Usui in 1926. It is my greatest pleasure to share this wonderful system with others.
